| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: creative, outgoing, and practical. The three careers that match my style are: nurse, child care worker, and photographer. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a nurse. I selected this job because I enjoy helping others and making them feel better. One of my daily activities as a nurse would be to maintain records and reports. I also have to help out other doctors. In addition, I have to prepare for patients. To work as a nurse, I need to get my Associate's Degree in Nursing. I must be good at critical thinking and have good social skills in order to become a well trained nurse. In the United States, the average salary for a nurse is $65,130 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $62,966. In the United States by the year 2016, employment for a nurse is expected to increase by 23.5%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016, it is expected to increase by 24.4%. I am looking forward to becoming a nurse in the future. |
